    WebM News Roundup

Sure, the web is abuzz with WebM news, and there are probably plenty of blogs out there gathering up various inflamatory headlines about it.  But, should that stop me from posting one more?  Probably.

Nonetheless, some interesting headlines from the last 2 weeks all related to WebM:

    • Miro is supporting it
    • Hardware support for WebM
    • Theora loves WebM
    • Puts the fight with H.264 in an interesting perspective to consider that only 26% of online video today is H.264:
    • Apparently, HEVC is coming, and could be twice as good as H.264 (same quality in half the bandwidth) - and as an extension of H.264 and an ISO MPEG project, will NOT be free!

  • Daniel Pisarski's Space

Since 2003, I have been working with digital video. I also care about Agile software development and have been very slowly learning Ruby on Rails. I get to use all three in my current job at TelVue Corporation.
